Children and Families Missioner

We're very pleased to announce that we have appointed Louise Britton to this post.

This is a new post, enabled by a bequest from Rev Dr Richard Hills, and grant funding.

Louise says "In everything I do I will try my best to honour Richard's kindness and give my all to serving this wonderful community I have fallen in love with over the 20 years I have lived in the village." We ask that you will pray for her, as she takes on this role, that she will be guided and empowered by our Lord in all that she seeks to do in his name. 

The Job:

To strengthen and support the Parish of Mottram, Broadbottom and Hattersley East, to seek the resurrected Christ within the community, with specific focus upon Children and Families. To draw alongside, engage and enable new and existing projects, seeking to transform the culture of the local Church, enabling our focus on mission, and increased lay involvement. This role will develop according to the gifts and skills of the successful applicant and the needs of the community that arise.

This role isn't just about 'getting more families into church' - it's about our church seeking to engage with famlies and outside organisations that work with familes, as part of our mission to the whole community.
