Services Leading up to Easter in 2024

Wednesday 14th February is Ash Wednesday. We will have a service of Eucharist with the Imposition of Ashes  at 7pm. 

Sunday 17th February is a Family Communion and during the Service we will have the opportunity to renew our own baptismal promises.

Sunday 10th March will be our next special service. This is Mothering Sunday This is also a Family Communion and we hope that it will be an opportunity to show our Mums how much they mean to us

Passion Sunday falls on March 17th this year. We will be having a Baptism during this Service, within our regular Holy Communion.

The following Sunday will be Palm Sunday. We will have our regular Service of Holy Communion but it is also Palm Sunday, so we plan to give everyone a special Palm Sunday Gift and we hope that we might just have an extra special visitor. 

Maundy Thursday falls on Thursday 28th March this year. We will be holding a Eucharist Service with Foot Washing and the Stripping of the Altar and Chancel. 

On Good Friday there will be a service at 10.30. This will take the form of reflections on the crucifixion with hymns and prayers. At the end of the service we will take the cross outside. 

Easter Day is Sunday 31st March. This year there will be one service at 10.30, a Family Communion and of course there will be Easter Eggs! 

We are not going to have a dawn service this year because the clocks go forward on that day and it would mean we would have to get up at 4.30am!
