Our new Path

We're having a new path!

The path across our churchyard is over 150 years old, and is showing its age. The stones are slippery and uneven, and starting to crack and flake. So we're making a new path, topped with resin bonded stone chippings. This will be attractive and safer, as it is porous and low-slip.

The project includes improved lighting, a bench, a memorial plaque to our friend Rev Richard Hills MBE, and repairs to the notice board. It is being funded wholly by a generous grant from The Friends of Mottram Parish Church.

Work starts on Wednesday 4th January 2023

We were granted a faculty (church planning permission) in October, but our contractor is booked up until Christmas. In the meantime, we have had some of the lighting work carried out, just in time for the dark months of winter.
