Flying the Flag

St Michael’s Church flies a flag from the top of the church tower - high above Mottram village and visible for miles around - for special occasions such as church festivals, community events, national commemorative days, some Saint’s days and to celebrate special events.

You can request a flag to be flown for your own special occasion such as a birthday, wedding anniversary, graduation, in memory of a loved one. We ask for a £15 donation, towards church funds.

For the duration of the coronavirus emergency, we will keep the flag flying as a visible sign of hope and love for our local community.
